What We Offer
A class designed to introduce young children to the joy of movement and rhythm. A combination of ballet, tap, and loco motor skills are used. This class prepares the young student for structured class.
An introduction of positions and placement to the arms, feet and body. Elementary barre and center-short combinations of steps. Correct body alignment is stressed so the student learns to move with strength and grace.
Ballet/Pointe – Intermediate to Advanced
A familiar recognition of terminology, more secure placement as well as a challenging faster-paced class. These levels prepare students for ballet examinations, higher level performances and scholarship auditions.
This class will focus on beginning sounds, combining these basics into stylized movement with musical phasing.
Tap-Intermediate to Advanced
This course is directed to a higher level of accomplishment according to the students’ progress. Emphasis on clarity of sound, nimbleness, speed and dexterity along with stylish use of upper body, head, arms and hands.
Dance Theatre Company
This course is conducted for the more serious-minded student. Modern and Lyrical dance technique will be introduced. The class will be directed on strengthen technique, flexibility and performing.
Beginning Jazz/Hip Hop
This class introduces jazz technique along with utilization of today’s latest movement crazes. Fun! Various age levels are offered.
Jazz/Hip Hop – Intermediate to Advanced
Total body movement at all spatial levels demonstrating rhythm, musical phrasing and body isolation. Combination requiring turns, big jumps and quick foot work are given in each class.
Hawaiian & Tahitian
This dance style combines the hip movement to the undulation gestures of the hands and arms which tell Hawaiian stories. Tahitian, Maori will also be introduced to more advanced students.
